Good to know
- How is it different from the Spoil Me Manicure?
- Two steps change and nothing else does. The CBD sugar scrub becomes a mint tea tree sugar scrub, and the CBD mint mask becomes a cooling treatment sealed in under the paraffin. It runs the same length, costs the same and is performed by the same technicians, so this is a choice about which one you would rather feel rather than a step up a ladder.
- What does the mint tea tree scrub actually do?
- The sugar base lifts dead skin the way any scrub does. The mint is what you notice first, and it is what the treatment is named for: a cooling sensation on the skin that carries well past the appointment. Tea tree oil brings a clean, faintly medicinal scent and is used here as a skin-conditioning ingredient.
- Will this treat a nail fungus?
- No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Tea tree oil has been studied for antifungal and antibacterial activity, and Mayo Clinic and Harvard Health both describe it in those terms, but the studies behind those findings apply it to the nail daily over a period of months. One scrub in a salon chair is a cosmetic comfort treatment and nothing more. If you think you have a nail or skin infection, see a doctor or a podiatrist: a licensed nail technician is not permitted to diagnose or treat one, and the service is declined on an active infection.
- Can I add gel?
- Yes. Gel adds to the price and a few minutes under the lamp, and every treatment step above stays exactly the same. Regular polish holds for several days of normal wear; gel holds two to three weeks and should be soaked off rather than peeled.
